I don&#039;t think it is inflating the tire.  I think the internal &quot;explosion&quot; (I am assuming a can starting fluid), is simply causing the tire to expand and force a seat onto the rim.  Sure, some gases may stay in the tire, but drop the hi-jack and I bet it goes flat.

Short; Nice for seating the tire on the trail which can be a PITA, but still needs to be aired up.
